When your Geiger counter says nope but you say everything’s okay

    1. Not just that. When you start a motor, the analog meters would peg. I had operators say it was ok because it was only drawing like 300 amperes

    2. In April 1986 Reactor Number 4 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded releasing massive amounts of radiation. Soviet officials initially downplayed the severity citing meter readings of 3.6 roentgen per hour the maximum that the Geiger counters could measure which vastly underestimated the true radiation levels. Many workers and liquidators were sent into extremely hazardous conditions with inadequate protection leading to severe health consequences.

Damn, is the Chernobyl show so old now that this meme isn’t just a direct rehash of the most viral part of it to this sub?
