Poor baby! Cat noses are thousands of times more effective than ours. The smell of an unclean litter box is horrible & this one is not being cleaned properly, the litter is not being changed out & the box itself, which absorbs odors, is not being thrown out & replaced with a new one on a regular basis. And if there are multiple cats in the house, your Aunt needs to have more than one litter box,which also needs to be cleaned daily & properly.

If it’s something new, vet. They’re uncomfortable using it normally, possibly a problem with the urinary tract, although I’m an idiot who’s just regurgitating what I heard online, so it would be nice if someone could correct me if I am wrong
