Westjet, one of the few major Canadian airlines, trying to defend themselves after reducing seat size and legroom space so they can sell more plane tickets.

    1. Saw that video. When I fly the seat I book takes up the space of at least six and probably more like eight of those in the video. On flights of 8 hours or more, more like ten, for lie-flat seats in personal private pods.

And for transatlantic flights I want a bar with a f’in bartender in the middle of the cabin.

      Fuck flying like that.

I’d rather change my plans than book with Westjet and get stuck in such an uncomfortable seat.

      What a joke.

    3. I did a fly and flop break over here in Europe well over 10 years ago and had the same space- 3 hours of sitting sidewards and I’m just average height. Never flew with that package company again

    4. Westjet is a shitty company that’s taking advantage of a near monopoly. There needs to be more competition in the market!

    5. Don’t the Canadians also have anti-trust laws similar to America (and yes yes I know they ain’t being enforced for shit currently)? This definitely sounds like monopolistic bs to me, where’s the government?

Westjet pioneered making air travel available to more Canadian.
      Canadian not leg room need.

    7. I’d be fine standing on a plane for like 3 hours if it meant I could get a ticket for 30 bucks. But they keep making seats smaller and still charging 700.

I’ll still fly long haul on WestJet, their 787s are NOT being reconfigured and my options long haul are WestJet or air Canada.

But I won’t be flying them short haul or on their 737 anymore unless it’s a VERY short hop.
