I watched (like really watched) only first 16 mins. The rest I skipped by speeding. People who praise it probably haven’t seen much anime yet or really THAT invested into “male power fantasy” stories. For me it were really boring.

Yes Dark Fantasy ( not isekai ) ,Adult MC banger animation and music , brutal combat to the death , Berser type of monsters !! Its amazing !

Also noticed right away these are the same people that did Mushoku Tensei. Artstyle and animation is so recognizable.

I enjoyed it. I think it is a interresting premise and a solid show so far. So many anime follow the same story troupes and story arcs so if this show can be different enough from other similar anime it will be a great anime. If not it will just be a decent but forgettable anime.

The animation is great, the world building I think is pretty cool but the story (or maybe it’s the storytelling that makes it that way, I don’t really know) feels really bland and generic.
I really hope that feeling fades away in the next episodes
