We absolutely catch pike on hot dogs here in Wisconsin when ice fishing. Usually using a tip up, sometimes the hot dogs do go missing. I swear some of the northern are figuring it out.

A few years ago a couple of friends and I ice fished on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota. We rented an ice house where the holes were already made, etc. Apparently the waters were also “chummed” with Johnsonville Cheddar Bratwursts as we could see a pile of them under each hole and we found the wrappers in the trash that our dear owner had forgotten to empty. We saw nothing, caught nothing. Still had a good time thanks to the beer and weed we brought 😀
