My dad speared a northern pike today and after cleaning it, he found out it had hot dogs in its belly.

    1. Using hot dogs as bait for pike ice fishing has been popular for a few years now. Confirmation that it works!

    2. We absolutely catch pike on hot dogs here in Wisconsin when ice fishing. Usually using a tip up, sometimes the hot dogs do go missing. I swear some of the northern are figuring it out.

    3. I once barfed up a pile that looked very similar to that and decided I needed to chew my food more. Like seriously, there were two half hot dogs in my vomit. I could have stitched that one together and gotten a refund.

    4. A few years ago a couple of friends and I ice fished on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota. We rented an ice house where the holes were already made, etc. Apparently the waters were also “chummed” with Johnsonville Cheddar Bratwursts as we could see a pile of them under each hole and we found the wrappers in the trash that our dear owner had forgotten to empty. We saw nothing, caught nothing. Still had a good time thanks to the beer and weed we brought 😀

    5. Damn, dude was probably having the best day of his entire life until your gigantic and unknowable god dad struck him down

It’s usually the other way around. Hot dogs usually have random animals in them.

Seeing this after watching a YouTube short of a guy ice fishing and he dropped his beer and then his hotdogs fell into the hole is pretty funny
