    1. I live near a lot of water, slack water and a missive river. I’ve seen loads of the fully grown lads flying around so first thing I made sure my tank had a lid.

      Yeah they can be a huge problem if you are in the aquarium hobby because how voracious they are. They often show up on posts asking what they are.

    3. Unfortunately they kill tadpoles too, which eat mosquitoe larvae, in pools fish do not live in to do that.

      Would not matter but tadpoles are really susceptible to pollution like endocrine disruptors, devastating populations in the single digits ppb, those herbicides you spray on your dandelions are enough.

      Lose the predators of mosquitoes especially at larvael and nymph stages you get huge mosquito hatches, leading people to spray, killing more predators, making us reliant on spray for temporary partial relief.
