1985 summer I travelled across Europe after college. TWA hijacked to Beirut. Everyone I met was avoiding Athens and not flying from there. Too scary. I purposely flew from Athens to Rome for $75 dollars to cut a weeks travel time. Never saw such security again until 9/11. Dude is absolutely correct. it’s the overreaction of the authorities after something happens that makes it the safest place and time to be.
