So fun things about them forgiving the loans! The 100+ schools where students were working on getting their loans reversed all happened because of Betsy DeVos, Trump’s first Sec of Ed.
She put out a rule that all requests for loan forgiveness were to be answered with a blanket no. Because of that everyone who applied was assumed to be eligible for the forgiveness and even people who wouldn’t have been able to get their loans wiped off were able to.
