I have heard in this place that if you go through each item that is hanging on the hook, the chances that there are different prices is high. Whether it’s awful QC, laziness or actual attempt of misleading pricing who’s to stay, but they’ve been getting away with it for a very long time.
Less black people means smaller numbers of consumers which means lower demand which means lower prices.
Hurray economics!

If they’re both the same price, there’s some book out there about the fallacy of equality, or justice that would be arguing that one of them should be cheaper than the other, leading to one of the first two problems.

When my son was little (in the ’90s), he wanted a Little Tikes dollhouse — and although we are white, he wanted a black family. The dollhouse came with a white family only, but inside the box was a coupon you could send in with $5 to get a black family.
