I know where this is going. Supply and demand dictates cost. It’s not people being racist.

I have heard in this place that if you go through each item that is hanging on the hook, the chances that there are different prices is high. Whether it’s awful QC, laziness or actual attempt of misleading pricing who’s to stay, but they’ve been getting away with it for a very long time.

    3. Less black people means smaller numbers of consumers which means lower demand which means lower prices.

      Hurray economics!

      Yo, check it out:

White people are priced like this:

But see, black people are priced like this:

    5. It’s probably just been on the shelf longer. Sold a white one at $9.99 then the price went up with the reorder.

    6. I am just happy they didn’t take out the father. So I am calling it a maybe win. Compared to what we normally get. But that basketball….lol

    7. If the white family was more expensive, people would complain it suggests black people are worth less

If the black family was more expensive, people would complain it’s taxing black people

If they’re both the same price, there’s some book out there about the fallacy of equality, or justice that would be arguing that one of them should be cheaper than the other, leading to one of the first two problems.

And round and round in a circle we go.

    8. When my son was little (in the ’90s), he wanted a Little Tikes dollhouse — and although we are white, he wanted a black family. The dollhouse came with a white family only, but inside the box was a coupon you could send in with $5 to get a black family.

Someone from Michael’s explained they price items based on demand, and they sell less of the POC ones. Don’t know how that works though

    10. It’s called supply and demand. Whites are like 69% of the US, and blacks are barely 13%. It’s called economics guy’s, not racism

    11. Hobby Lobby on Manhattan blvd? I took this exact same picture on my phone and was irked by the different prices.
