A man from Congo named Guy Goma was mistakenly interviewed as a Tech Specialist on BBC live in 2006. He had come to the BBC for a job interview as a data cleanser but was mistakenly identified as Tech Journalist Guy Kewney.

I know a girl that accidentally became a successful movie executive because she sat at the wrong desk and they just assumed she worked there. Maeby was her name.

What kills me is that the questions she asks, anyone with half a brain could have answered. It’s insane those were the questions they picked to ask an expert they brought in.

Honestly he should have interviewed after that for the job of whoever botched that entire thing.

He didn’t get the job?! After that legendary performance under pressure?! Shame on the BBC 😠

“Great, let’s get you over to makeup first.”
      “Huh?”

I have messed up so many job interviews and none of them were live streamed to the friggin world. Salute to Guy for holding his fort. If BBC didn’t hire him after this he should just claim BBC as his own
