Tried to post yesterday and apparently there wasn't enough detail for a few folks, so here it is broken down further.

    1. This looks realisitic…have been tired of seeing peeps making 400k and somehow food expenses are 10k

<$1000 monthly on mortgage is great. I’m curious, what does a decent 1 bedroom apartment in your zip code currently go for?

I bought around when you did and I’m pretty sure my mortgage is cheaper than local studio

    3. If we bought a house today our monthly mortgage would be your yearly mortgage *cries in California*

    4. If you don’t mind me asking, where do you live that daycare is almost 2k a month?

Daycare twice as much as your mortgage 😭

Crying because I’m there with you

Your tax burden total is under 20% of your income. That seems low to me but maybe I’m doing it wrong lol

    7. Seems like you’re doing great and if it’s no trouble to you it’s no trouble to me, but $9000 on takeout/dining is blowing my mind. Wife and I are generally cheap, I acknowledge, but we get takeout maybe twice a month. Apparently we’re majorly in the minority there. I’m sure it’ll go up a little once both kids are eating real food (they’re 6 months and 3 years), but if it’s $100 per meal for 4 (more than I’d pay consistently but you do you) that’s 90 meals, so almost twice a week. Does that roughly line up with what you guys do?

Again, you can clearly afford it so go for it. I’m just curious

Edit: I always forget that people get a beer or cocktail with meals when going out. I don’t drink so that never factors into my math. Makes the $100 for a meal a lot more likely.

    8. How did your employer or benefit admin allow you to do dependent care FSA as a higher earner?

    9. Where do you live that your property taxes and utilities are so low? I feel like I’m getting taken advantage of living in the tri-state area.

    10. Amazing how much benefit there is to live in a state with no income tax! If I’m reading this right.
