Just look at how Trump, the heritage foundation, and all of his cabinets speak of “third world” countries yet they can’t help but try to imitate and implement the worst parts about those countries, just with the Christian label wrapped onto them.

It’s because it’s them swearing on a holy text that they care about, that they stake their lives and their faith and beliefs to. That if they go back on their word, it has consequences them spiritually, not just legally.
