    1. I just watched this last night for the first time! Beautiful city visuals and simple plot for its length. Would love to have seen more of the city scenes like this.

    2. That film had a profound effect on me when I saw it when I was about 15.

      The image of the workers packed together moving towards the lifts is something I have not shaken in the 37 years since.

      I think of it any time I am packed on a train platform or in the underground.

      That film was probably part of my political awakening

    3. I was always and still am fascinated by these effects. Not only how can you imagine such a thing, but being able to recreate this for others to see is an amazing talent – especially for this time period.

      I feel like watching this film again!

      It’s funny to see how, even though the film tries to convince us that this is the future, it still remains very much tied to the past. Notice the airplanes, how dated they are…
