
A year ago, I had posted the amount of portions of fruit/veg I had eaten in all of 2024. I had aimed for an average of 3 portions a day and achieved ~3.1.
This year I aimed for 4 a day. As of this moment, I have eaten 1461 portions of fruit or veg in 2025 – and average of almost exactly 4. Not only that, but I ate at least 1 portion every day of the year.
The journey towards a healthy lifestyle goes on. Maybe next year, I will hit 5 a day.

Some answers to questions that I got last year:
Have I seen any health improvements? No, not really. Although this year I found it harder to make time for exercise and had some health problems that have probably skewed how healthy I feel
How did I count portions? I loosely followed the NHS guidelines, but gave myself a little flexibility i.e. if half a can of soup is listed as 1 portion and I ate a full can, I counted it as 2. While not perfect, the long-term goal is to keep improving the amount of portions per day and then improve the accuracy of “what is a portion”
