On the 99th day of Christmas my true love gave to me 99 parakeets and a bitch ain’t one

    2. At what stage does someone have to step in?

I hear they’re invasive and decimate food access for native birds.

(And no this isn’t a “bloody foreigner” allegory)

A bit of sluething seems to indicate these are ring necked parakeets, not budgerigars, if this is indeed London.

    4. Whenever I hear them I always picture one of the conquerors brining them back for the young princess Victoria and her being a bit lazy to keep the cage closed

    5. looks like rose-ring parakeets. if they are, they’re an invasive pest here on O’ahu, too. They eat fruits people grow in their yards, they’re agricultural pests, and they’re noisy as hell. A tree by my home is full of them at night, though not to this degree.
