Those boots are literally covered in the dust and ash of the Holocaust. She intentionally stomped that dirt onto Hitler’s personal bathmat before getting into his tub to wash it off. While she was taking this photo in Munich, Hitler was committing suicide in his bunker in Berlin. You couldn't write a more cynical and poetic ending to a regime.

      I get the irony of the boots and dust but, being in Hitlers tub looking like you are a s-kitten, ain’t hitting all cylinders for me. It’s gross.
