I’ve been working on a way to visualize lottery randomness more intuitively. This is a Wave Chart for Powerball draws throughout 2025.
What this represents:
Top Chart: The "Wave" of the Chance ball numbers. It shows the movement and frequency of the bonus ball.
Bottom Chart: A multi-layered wave representing the 5 main balls. The peaks and valleys help identify the numerical distribution (low vs. high numbers) across different draw dates.
The Goal: To see if there are any visual clusters or "rhythms" in the results that standard tables usually hide.
Tools used: LottoAnalyzer (mathematical analyzer of lottery statistics Loto France (France), Powerball (Etats-Unis), Mega Millions (Etats-Unis), EuroMillions (Europe), EuroJackpot (Europe), and Mega-Sena).
I find it fascinating how random data creates such organic, wave-like shapes when plotted this way. What do you think about this approach to statistical visualization?
