Peak galaxy brain move: when life throws chaos, just casually whip out a kayak like it’s plan A.

    2. if you’re in a canyon and it starts to rain, run like your life depends on it, because it does.

    3. Lots of people die to this every year. Im terrified of going in canyons and ppl think im weird af

“This wasn’t the plan”.  Says the guy who hauled a kayak into a desert canyon 🙄

    5. This reminds me of the first time my cub scout leader took us into a short cave and warned us of the dangers of exploring caves.  He explained how easy it is to get into trouble and how you may enter in clear blue skies but rainfall dozens of miles away can still fully submerge your escape route.

He did it right because I still to this day think of what can go wrong and how to avoid those kinds of problems no matter where I hike

    6. Here in Brazil, this phenomenon is called

      Flash flood

Killing hundreds of unsuspecting people who are swimming in rivers, every year during the summer rainy season

    7. Where is the problem? When the water comes……just swim

Water is awfully blue for a flash flood. Half of the video is Lake Powell, no one hiked up a canyon with a kayak

    9. Nobody knew about it except everybody smart enough to check the weather and stay the hell out of the canyons when there’s any chance of a flash flood, which is basically any time there’s significant rain in red rock country🙄
