In Nordic Countries like Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, Parents Let Babies Nap Outside in Freezing Winters…and They Sleep Better.

    1. Baby is snug as a bug. Put and walk me around in a stroller swaddled in some scandanavian quilts and furs and such? 😴😴😴

    2. Reminds me of that poor EDIT Danish woman who was visiting NY and did this, leaving her baby outside a restaurant. She was charged with child abuse and had to go through a whole diplomatic ordeal before the charges were dropped

As a winter camper in a northern area I can attest to this. There is something about cold fresh air that will put you right to sleep.

    4. Meanwhile conservatives in the USA acted like putting a thin cloth mask over their face was going to give them CO2 poisoning.

    5. Happens in Germany too, there’s a small bar near my house where the prams are parked outside while the parents have a drink inside (there’s a big window, they can see them)

This is very common, has always been. Kids have warm clothing and blankets, their faces are protected from the wind and cold air. #finland

    7. My brother’s wife is Filipina but we live in Canada. They have two baby boys, when we take them outside in the winter they just sleep and she panics lol. You can really tell by the comments who grew up in cold climates and who didn’t.

Bundle up the kiddo, they’ll be happy. And maybe most importantly they’ll get used to the cold early.

It’s the best sleep! I grew up and still (unfortunately) live in North Dakota and I will sleep with my bedroom window open in the winter. My limit is 15-20 degrees depending on the wind and/or snow.

    9. This is sorta actually true. You don’t let them sleep out at night. But outside during daytime in the winter, it’s common. And it works. I still keep my bedroom frigid at night, and I still sleep like a baby.
You need proper clothing tho. Don’t do this with some Chinese knock-off clothes, or you’ll harm your child.

    10. True but, we dont leave the babies out to be snowed on like this. They sleep in their strollers with covers over.
