It’s pretty remarkably rare to get stuff like this, or a missing or swapped piece. But Lego has a good policy for sending replacement parts. Can all be done online by selecting the kit and then the actual part with a little explanation of what’s wrong. Postage system is what takes the longest

When an injection molding machine starts up it takes time to warm up, so the first few pieces to come off the line have a “short shot” condition which is basically what you see here. Other issues can cause short shots, but the only time I have seen 50% fill like this has been due to start up. LEGO has famously high quality control, so it really is surprising to see this made it through.

Hey I just built that! Got it as a Christmas gift, cool set! I would hav ebeen so happy to get a ‘misprint’ piece, I collect misprinted Magic the Gathering cards, getting a misprint lego would be such a treat!
