If his only concern lies with the virgin birth and with Jesus, as he says, instead of Santa Claus and what not, well, then why is he concerned with this December 25th holiday we call “Christmas,” anyway? December 25th is NOT when that virgin birth he speaks of is supposed to have even taken place. December 25th is NOT when Jesus was born, ffs. So, wtf is he concerned about the Christmas holiday, at all, then? Just sayin… 🤷♂️
Edit: No, the reality is that Christmas as a holiday is and always has been a celebration of the winter solstice, originally designed by the Catholic Church, in order to bridge the gap between the catholic faith and that of various European pagans, to help ease the transition and generally encourage their conversion to Catholicism. They did so by incorporating many traditions and symbolism they already held and were comfortable with as pagans, adapting them into a Christian motif centered around the Christian Mesiah.
Ultimately, they created a holiday embracing the birth of the most important and founding figure of the Catholic faith, while simultaneously allowing the pagans to retain many of their own traditions in the process and thus, expand the faith. It’s actually quite genius when you think about it, but this dunce probably knows none of this and certainly has no idea that December 25th actually has nothing at all to even do with Jesus, to begin with, lol.
