On December 17, 1968, heiress Barbara Jane Mackle was kidnapped and buried alive in a glass coffin. She remained trapped for 3 days until her rescue. When asked how she remained so positive during her ordeal, she explained she just thought about spending Christmas with her family.

She was only 20.. I’m so fucking glad they found her.. don’t know how
“buried her in a shallow trench inside a fiberglass-reinforced box. The box was outfitted with an air pump, a battery-powered lamp, water laced with sedatives, and food. Two plastic pipes provided Mackle with outside air.”
Unfortunately, Barbara Jane Mackle passed away in 2019 at the age of 71. Rest in Peace.
According to wiki, the kidnapper became a doctor and practiced until 2003, when his license was revoked for not disclosing disciplinary actions during his residency. Lol
“It could be worse, I could be spending XMAS with the family”…
Im 41 years old, I saw something about this on TV when I was really young, like 5 years old.
Claustrophobia is by far my biggest fear in the world. I always think about this when I think about being trapped in tight spaces. If you told me I would have to spend 3 days in this situation but I’d 100% be let out i dont think I could do it and I’d rather take a bullet
Having vision issues and completely read that as “hairless” and was super confused (and concerned).
Felt like I was dying when I did my MRI on my neck for 20 mins. 3 days is just unbelievable
There’s a podcast called, against the odds that did an awesome telling of thisÂ
