    1. Yeah I don’t want to be asked for help by people who don’t speak to me unless they’re asking for help. If it was someone who spoke to me on the regular there’s no need for that little fake check up

      False. People want to help but feel like you’re buttering them up to get something out of them.

      “Hey how are you doing. I’m struggling more than you.”

      My cousin = ” hey boo, I need money” by text. 

       I appreciate that she doesn’t trap me in a phone call about nothing for 7 minutes.
      I just get a text 3-4x/year asking to borrow $1-300. Maybe 1-2 other texts annually re a party or my uncle’s health. 

      I almost always send it bc she’s not beating around the bush and she takes good care of my uncle and she’s poor. She’s promised to pay it back a few times, but I’ve never gotten a dime. (I don’t lend, I give. I did invite her to repay me however much she could once- to see if she would. Spoiler… She wouldn’t. )
