She’s gonna win a big ol’ lawsuit.

The girl didn’t do the assignment correctly. It’s literally that simple.

    2. Best this girl could do with a fake “tennis” scholarship was Oklahoma? Truly, this speaks to her ability to write a coherent essay.

What an embarrassment for the “University” of Oklahoma. Just wow. The premise of her paper was completely emotional, arbitrary, and irrational. She literally had no argument established in REASON.

    4. What really annoys me about this case is that the essay is so poorly written that any religious person should be mad at this girl for her awful work.

She doesn’t even provide a citation for the Bible.

    5. All this does is teach that fake Christian girl that she can get away with stuff if she pleads *jesus* and that her *rights* are being violated if it’s not what she wants. Teacher better sue both the school and the student and go elsewhere. Surprised a religious idiot would struggle with a psych course so badly.

It was a hit job from the start and the university just threw its reputation under the bus by not standing for academic integrity and backing her up. I’m sure there are other universities willing to hire her, so I think she’ll land on her feet. But I wouldn’t recommend sending a student to OU despite it having an excellent Atmospheric Science Department. (We’ll see how long that lasts now that they’re gutting climate change research.)

People are already saying they won’t send their kids there or hire OU grads. And the teacher is considering legal options. This was a dumb decision

Clown college. A degree from OU is already barely worth the paper it’s printed on. If that essay is considered passable college writing there, it may as well be degrees on toilet paper.

I have to wonder if hiring managers at top organizations will look at degrees from this university and now second guess if they are really representing quality candidates. Interesting to see the unintended consequences unfold, as I’m guessing OU is shooting itself in the foot.

    10. I hope she wins big on her lawsuit. Wrongful termination. The idiot bible thumpers gotta learn that they need to do the classwork properly because the lord isn’t going to do it for them.

I would never hire a graduate from the University of Oklahoma. Contrary to their claim, they do not teach their students how to think. That paper didn’t cite a single source.

    12. This is why God made their punter drop the ball.

Seriously, though, what a slam dunk wrongful termination

everyone knows why the trans person is being singled out and targeted… but you all will keep pretending that we’re not ramping up towards a genocide.

I just read that essay and it absolutely deserved a failing grade, it’s poorly written and doesn’t even attempt to make a point beyond “because God says so”. The problem is that the teacher gave it a zero and said it was offensive, if she had given it 5 points for being turned in at all and then tore it to shreds based on the criteria of the assignment people wouldn’t have been able to say it was discrimination.
