    1. I need to add one of these to the bandaids and neosporin in my medicine cabinet.

      Freak my husband out!

    2. A little freaky but imagine how damn relieved you’d be if you were in that kind of a situation and had this.

10 years ago, I would have laughed, but my dad lost a finger in a freak accident with a wood chipper. It would have been useful on that day ( or maybe not, it was pretty much ground meat).

    4. I mean you hope you never need it but its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Well I guess it’s better to have one and not need it, than to need one and don’t have it?

It’s funny how the first choice is to casually drive someone with an amputated body part to the hospital and not call 911

These things can save your fucking limb. You keep it with a case of those ice packs you activate by pressing down on them (enough to fill the bag) and get to an ER ASAP (if the bleeding is under control just drive the guy there yourself, if you’re alone call an ambulance and wait, if you’re with someone else and your bleeding isn’t under control set up a rendezvous point with an ambulance)

    8. I kept a similar bag in my garage first aid kit. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that you lop off a finger and who wants to be poking around in a kitchen cabinet to find a decent ziplock baggie while arterial blood is spraying everywhere?

    9. “JESUS CHRIST! That metal Frisbee just took off Dan’s leg!”

“I’ll grab the first aid kit…”

Haha!! This is a new one! Hopefully not something I’ll ever need, but if I do, I know I won’t have it on hand 😅

I got 3 right hands in my bag, I was hoping for lower left legs to round out my collection but rng is what it is.

Oh I’m glad that included that last step there. I thought we were preparing the cooler for a cookout.

    13. this is interesting as an emergency services dispatcher we tell people to NOT put parts on any ice as it can damage nerves and potentially destroy any chance at re-attachment

That’s awesome!  Did you look inside and see if it has the complete set of replacement parts? At least 11 digits if you have the male parts bag.

    15. I’m sure I have the exact same first aid kit as you, and when I saw that my first thought was that my half day of first aid training did not cover this!!

My Ford first aid kit has this too. I really don’t want to use it but if a situation arises I might have to.
