It’s not about that. It’s about denial. They know that they cant spin child abuse like they can spin abusing minorities or not paying taxes or taking money away from the working class. It’s the one thing that they cant put a positive spin on. It is the universal “bad thing” to do that they’ve used to villainize the gay, trans, even immigrant communities.
Think about it. Anytime they want to paint someone as the bad guy, they will try and tie them to pedophilic behavior.
