For the past year, I’ve been saving bars of soap when they become too small to use, and smushing them into one single ball of soap.

Just bought my first soap bag recently. Only have a few small remnants in it so far but I’m looking forward to the suds when it’s full!

    2. I must confess, I have never successfully got two bars of soap to stick together on purpose successfully. Also, I kinda feel like I just admitted I can’t tie my shoes.

    3. Because it’s probably going to be asked, here’s a list of the soaps I’ve used that I can remember and some short reviews. In no particular order:

      * Sasquatch: absolutely the worst. This stuff is super brittle and crumbles when it gets small, and it does a terrible job at sticking to itself when you try to smush it back together.

      * Dove, Irish Spring, & Old Spice: hard soap that keeps its shape and form until the end. Great if that’s what you want, but it doesn’t stick to itself very well and isn’t remotely malleable.

      * Dial: I forget exactly the properties of this soap but I remember liking it, which probably meant was malleable. Maybe I just liked the smell.

      * Cheeky: This is the soap started by Cr1TiKaL and honestly it’s the best soap out there. Not only does it keep its shape, but it’s very malleable and even bendy, which I like because not only does it smush well but it forms to the shape of the body. 10/10 this is not a sponsorship go use this soap. Also smells great.

      * Just a random block of black activated charcoal soap: I liked this. I think it served as the core of the soap ball. It had a similar hardness issue as the Dove and others, but it actually smushed with other soaps pretty well.

      * Method: a big peanut shape that is the hardest soap I ever used. Like it’s an actual rock. Not very good for smushing.

There’s certainly other soaps I’m forgetting.

Huh, when one of my bars of soap becomes too small I just rub it between my hands to make the last suds.

    5. My dad has been doing this ever since I could remember. Interesting aromas from the final product, like a soap gobstopper.

Anyone remember stack soap? I remember their commercials on MBMBAM and always thought their gimmick was pretty good about building soap with a little divot to put the tiny slithers in lol

Did that once…put 82 full bars together. NGL…its been three years and it’s still giant.

    8. I did that as a kid. It became toxic. Smelled so chemical my parents threw it out. Mom says she felt like she was going to pass out from the ammonia smell. Dad said he thought he saw it smoking. 😬
