The United States exists on land taken from Indigenous nations through conquest, broken treaties, and policies that meet the definition of genocide. It built immense wealth through the enslavement of Africans and their descendants, treating them as property and less than human. These are not just past wrongs but living systems whose effects are visible today in who is poor, imprisoned, dispossessed, and killed by the state. The country has never fully told the truth about these crimes, nor has it provided meaningful land return, treaty enforcement, or reparations. Any claim that the U.S. is a just democracy is hollow until it confronts this history honestly and shifts land, power, and resources to the peoples it tried to erase.

It’s crazy to me that a country whose whole start and breakaway from tyranny is the Declaration of Independence that literally states right after the preamble: “*We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal…”* then doesn’t break from slavery and maintains the status quo of xenophobia.
Literally, all we had to do as a nation was actually believe what we wrote and founded our country on. If we truly believed that all men are created equal, just think how different the course of history would have changed.
All because some white ass honkies think PoC are somehow inferior socially, mentally, and emotionally than themselves.
