Imagine the scene with black hole gargantua on that screen. Probably would be the most mesmerizing cinematic experience ever

How are you not using the black hole as the interesting picture?

There’s still people out there that say a tv can be too big for a room.

Nice. “The Martian” featuring Matt Damon though.

That’s a film truly worthy of 70mm

Hope this was not OP being a knob and taking their phone out during the movie.

I’ve seen Interstellar at the IMAX twice, once when it came out, and again about 6 months ago. I think it might be the best cinema experience I’ve ever had. Also watched Bladerunner and Apocalypse Now a few months ago at the IMAX, and they also really blew me away.

You know, in the 70s, you used to get the same effect by, you know… sitting at the front

Who even wants to see Matt Damon that close up?

Had the opportunity to see this on the 70mm. If you ever have the chance, definitely go

At least 3 commenters are so confidently incorrect that this isn’t interstellar, that’s truly interesting as fuck.

If they would’ve just left him on Mars he wouldn’t have been able to sabotage this mission.
That’s one giant piece of shit. (His character, not the movie)

I saw this at the universal city walk 70mm OG IMAX on original release. I’d still say it’s my peak cinema experience.

Saw it by myself opening week at 10AM on a Wednesday in IMAX. It was unbelievable. At one point I was laying down across three seats using my jacket as a pillow. There were two other people there.

I saw this at the BFI IMAX in London and it was spectacular. The docking scene was just unbelievable!
