“We could’ve avoided MAGA if we’d just raised taxes and started universal basic income and healthcare decades ago.”

Willard “Mittens” Romney is just trying to find the smallest number that will maintain the post-Reagan order.

    2. You mean Reagan.

I’d say “If Reagan showed signs of mental instability and dementia earlier then Congress would’ve removed him for being unfit for the job”.

But now I see why that would never happen.

Just don’t put those assholes in charge of the recovery

They fucked up the financial crisis in 2008, they don’t get another shot

There were a lot of off ramps that were blown past to get us here. Everything that’s happening now is a deliberate choice by those that control the government. Remember that when/if the next election cycle comes around.

Just imagine if Bernie was the 2016 winner…

    5. He hasn’t realized a thing. He’s just trying to balance the coffers. He still believes that 47% of the country are losers. Go read the op-ed. It’s as disappointing as you’d expect.

Man’s third eye must have been sealed shut.

Mitt “Corporations are people” Romney sure has some nerve acting like he wasn’t really part of the problem to begin with.

Yup. Or at least, mostly. MAGA is motivated by how shit their lives are from (mostly) Republican “leadership” and policies. They would be less motivated to action if their lives were a little more secure. “You’re fucked because *those* people exist” doesn’t land as hard when you’re not fucked.

That being said, MAGA is a hierarchical movement that wishes to impose their version of “reality” on the world that will (presumably) lead to *those* people being pushed down and MAGA “naturally” rising to a higher class.

And maybe stop letting vulture capitalists like Mitt Romney buy the affordable stores and strip them for parts.

    9. You have to pay to have access to our country’s resources, our country’s regulations, and our country’s customers.

I’m tired of people pretending we should all pay equally for services and regulations that benefit the rich far, far, more. The poor are subsidizing their own oppression.

Mitt “I’m a venture capitalist who has ransacked many a corporation for their wealth” Romney gets it?

    11. Billionaires know this and they’re planning to end democracy

Look at China & Russia. No problems there for the oligarchy. Same with Saudi Arabia.

Once fascism takes over you’re done. Violence doesn’t work against a militarized police force let alone an actual army.

Need to hear more from him. If he’s only talking about the top 2-3% of his 47%, then he can get bent with the rest of the GOP…

    13. BTW, if you really want to hear a wealthy person who understands that the pitchforks are coming, check out Nick Hanauer’s TED talks and his blog Pitchfork Economics.
