    1. I have to steal this to explain to everyone else the reality of DEI.

additionally lack of DEI hurts (white) women, vets, disability… these idiots are do disingenuous about it.

Fuck POC (and ourselves) but mostly POC.

      i hate it here.

The sadder part about all of this is when you go back and look at all of Jake Paul’s previous fights there is only one semi real boxing fight he was in and that was the one with Tommy Fury and even that fight was a sham. All his fights were against UFC fighters who were fighting a pure boxing match which meant they could not use their full mixed martial arts abilities. Or he fought retired boxers who havent been in the ring for decades. So yeah this ass whooping was a long time coming.

    3. His ass is gonna remember the punch that cracked his shit. Fully expecting his next opponent to be someone like Manny Pacquiao with headgear rule.

    4. Consistent-Brother12 on

Yeah Jake has zero business fighting a former two time world champ who knocked down Francis Ngannou multiple times. As his first non-exhibition fight is insane and totally undeserved.

    5. They really think this country is bending over backwards to hand things to black people. Because if there’s anything the history of this country has shown us, it’s the exact opposite.

illegal to learn how to read and write…illegal to attend school and college…illegal to go to white businesses or drink out of white water fountains…illegal to vote…I can go on and on

as if businesses that are all about making money would all go hire unqualified and incompetent people just because they’re black…

like they’re just gonna have some unqualified black person flying a damn plane

      make it make sense

but they’ll hire any mediocre white person because “they know someone” or their daddy pulled some strings

    6. “an even split of a $184 million total purse, meaning $92 million each”

Yeah I bet Paul really learned his lesson

This is a reach, the entire premise is flawed.

This is what I hate about these pop culture crossovers into a world that’s semi-niche like boxing. People who don’t follow the sport at all love to inject their own worldview on things they know very little about. I.E: “Paul’s fights are rigged”.

I’ve got no love for Jake so I’m not trying to defend his character or anything, but anyone paying attention the buildup to this fight, or knows anything about AJ could tell Jake knew he had almost no chance at winning this fight. He was looking for a moral victory in surviving a few rounds with a former heavyweight champion knockout artist. Seems like he fulfilled that.

    8. freak_shit_account on

He never tried to stand toe to toe. His entire strategy was evade and hope AJ gassed or couldn’t find a finish. Also this was a fantastic opportunity for AJ who has struggled to garner fans outside of England, and an easy tune up fight to build up to championship challenge after getting whooped by Dubois.

This whole is tweet is clout chasing and banking on people’s hate for the Pauls making them ignore the reality of the situation. Not to mention the race baiting.

    9. You are overanalyzing these shit fights. Not a single sane person ever thought Jake Paul could fight an actual professional boxer including Pauls themselves.

It was just an overblown content machine where he gradually moved from fellow YouTubers to trained fighters while making big Saudi bucks and cashing on big names

This is the core of the Good Ol’ Boy network that functions in most of America.

White guys favor other White Guys that they know or are recommended to them by yet more White Guys. The recommended ones are almost never ever ever as good as actually qualified candidates, but Good Ol’ Boys are rarely interested in that sort of thing.

They rage about DEI because they know that sort of biased decision-making exists because they’re the ones doing it, so they think/assume/believe that’s how everyone functions.

Again, it’s always a case of Projection.

      Every accusation is a confession.

    11. RecursiveDysfunction on

The reality is that Jake Paul is walking away from this with close to 100 million dollars. I know most on this sub would happily take a right hook if it pays the kind of money that take care of your great grandchildrens kids.

Jake Paul is actually a genius. Literally nobody likes him. He’s effectively monetised being disliked as people will literally pay in the hopes of seeing him knocked out.

Anthony Joshua has also done well from this. Easy fight, no damage taken and he’s 100 million dollars up.

    12. Imhere4thejokes on

That’s why the knockout was so beautiful…anything less than a KO and he would’ve been running his mouth that he hung with a top 5 HW…the only thing I would change is I wish AJ would’ve worked the body more and battered him a lot more, he was head hunting just to make a show of the fight. I wish it was a thorough ass beating, that would’ve been so satisfying.

    13. I mean he clearly knew he wasn’t as good of a boxer. And he’s playing an act as a promoter to get people to pay to watch his boxing. He knew what would happen but he doesn’t care because he’s a shameless showman for the worst. How is this not obvious to people lol. He’s playing in yall faces

    14. RisingToMediocrity on

Yall letting Joshua off the hook on this one. He didn’t need to accept this fight and legitimize Paul, yet he did anyways.

    15. GuySmileyIncognito on

He clearly didn’t think he could go toe to toe with him and that’s why it took place in a ring the size of a swimming pool and he was just hoping he could run around for eight rounds and say he went the distance with Joshua. He started to tire out and then it was only a matter of time.

    16. Nervous_Inspector939 on

Isn’t Dei for variously defined poor ppl? And who says different races are opponents? That’s like out of a billionaires handbook lol

    17. Maleficent-War-8429 on

I don’t think this has anything to do with DEI and I don’t think anyone thought Jake Paul had a snowballs chance in hell of winning this fight, including Jake Paul himself.

It’s a clownshow fight, just like every single other fight Jake Paul has ever been in. In fairness to the prick, he’s probably a better boxer than like 80% of reddit, but it’s clear as the sun in the fucking sky that he can’t hold a candle to an actual professional.

None of that actually matters though, because win or lose for some ungodly reason this clownshow makes millions of fucking dollars so it happens and it’s going to keep happening. Even this fight was fake as fuck for lasting 6 rounds, obviously fixed in some form or fashion.

I just take the outlook that at least rhe actual pros can make a bit of cash off this fool while he’s doing it.

    18. If you think it’s for any reason other than money, well, that makes sense. We’re all humans who have unique outlooks on every situation.

    19. Careless-Balance-893 on

Anthony Joshua is a gold medalist. He literally won gold at the Olympics in 2012 for this. I can’t imagine any other outcome.

    20. GuyNamedWhatever on

It also really shows how much of his loser fan base lost money on that fight. Every single clip I’ve seen of the fight there’s like 2-3 comments of people just saying “this fight sucks it was so rigged”, like no, one of the current greatest boxers outclassed a line-ripping white clout gremlin
