These are really niche and it looks really cool but the reality is that they are so limited with space, the cold air rushes in when the wait staff comes and it’s still cold in there. Good one time experience. Then you’ll want to go inside so you can watch the game while you’re eating.

Ahhhhh. A remnant from the best days of COVID. Where we couldn’t eat inside. So we made outside, inside and then ate outside, but inside.

They’re kinda cute. However, I live in Nashville, so if you want to rent one of those bad boys it is coming with a minimum $500 food and liquor spend and you need to book it a month in advance.

    5. There’s a restaurant in Midway, UT that has permanent ones of these and they looked quite cozy compared to this (no offense to this restaurant lol), but you had to reserve them ahead of time and we were just passing through so we ate in the regular restaurant. But I wish we could have been seated outside because the little domes (IIRC they called them “Alpenglobes”) were so picturesque, especially given the scenery in Utah.

Can’t make fun, most of the world was literally under a rock during Covid. This was the coolest thing about it fr

    7. A tavern near me added them for Covid, and now themes them to rent them out for lots more $$

They have Elf, Christmas Story and Grinch themed “igloos” right now.

    8. In Lakewood, Ohio there is a park for food trucks, all the tables have these bubbles too. It’s kinda cool!

That’s the Collins brewhouse in Dundas, Ontario. They have them for the winter time heated because Dundas is big time around Christmas. It’s a great little town I was born and raised there. Fun facts- it’s the home of Martin short and probably 75% of hallmark movies are filmed in Dundas

    10. I didn’t like these during covid either. The moment someone farts in there the dinner is ruined lol.

good for people with long covid or any other chronic illness. some people would not be comfortable dining out without this set up.

    12. The baked beans scene from “Blazing Saddle” would achieve a certain lethality in a dome like that.

    13. They’re used for mixing the everyone’s sphincter aromas in order to truly complement the meal at hand

I would definitely buy one of these if I had a backyard, today is sunny but 20 degrees and it would probably feel really nice to go read a book in there.
