couldn’t those cables be used to track down where the drones came from? I mean, for military purposes, knowing where the drones came from could have some use, no?

    2. Ukraine’s soil is going to be filled with tiny glass shards for hundreds of years. I wonder how that will impact farming and day to day life after the war ends. There are still places in France today that are uninhabitable, and unsafe even to visit, from the second world war.

If 20 years ago, you were to tell me that a remnant of war was thousands of kilometers long fiberglass cables strung across fields and towns, I would have said GTFO of here.

Let’s brainstorm ways to reuse it. Obvious one would be make cable bundles. What else? Fabric?

Man I can see this as epic scenery in Metro 2029 “The Spark” following an Ukrainian soldier on his way to Moscow…

Can someone plz explain to me why ? Why do they leave so many fiber optic cables just like that, like what’s the purpose ?

Caught in a literal web of our own technology. Is anyone else a little tired of the on-the-nose symbolism the writers are using this season?

    8. On the bright side data centers in the Ukraine are gonna be super fast for our AI overlords.
