Technically cutting drug prices by 600% IS possible. It’s just really funny.
Let’s say the price of drugs is X.
To reduce price by 50% would mean X – 0.5X
Therefore, to reduce the price by 600%, it would mean the following:
X – 6X = -5X.
Therefore we can use this to find out that by reducing the price of drugs by 600%, I should gain 5 times the drug’s original value in my bank account after each purchase if I’m buying nothing else.
Essentially you’re getting paid to take drugs off the shelves if this were somehow actually true and not just made up numbers by someone who fails to grasp elementary school math and only thinks in “bigger number mean better number”.
