My son, my nephew and my brother all have this little dot in their ears in the exact same place. No one else in our family has it.

    1. I have them on both ears, my brother only has one, and it looks like it was passed down on the one side of the family. It feels like cartilage, right?

I have tried looking for what it’s called/why it’s there but never found an answer

    2. This is one of those things I’ve always wondered about and never had an answer for! I have two tiny ones on both ears, not visible but I can feel them! Like little grains of sand under the skin

I have these on the back of both ears, I’ve always called them my “alien bumps” because my parents told me they found me in a field like that after I landed from the planet gobshite.

When I was about 11 I got my ear stung by a bee and after the swelling went down the bump on that ear was gone and now I only have one on my left ear

    4. My son has one on his ear in the same place but no one else in the family has that. Conclusion my son must actually be your son.

    5. That’s a tracker to always know their live location. You just have to download the app and scan their QR code.

    6. It’s called Quelprud’s nodule (not to be confused with Darwin’s tubercle, which is a bump on the rim of the ear).

      It is hereditary.
