It must be some kind of life endgoal to have a house in the Arctic circle, with a view on the aurora when it happens.

Living here would make me want to wake up every morning just to look at it all. Sublime.

Baseball for scale?

The baseball is such a perfect reference point. Midnight sun vs midnight aurora is wild to see side by side like this.

Meh i lived in lofoten for 5 years. After the second or third season the views start to fade and then you realize it actually kinda sucks with all the camping wagons and tourists. Especially after covid. I was lucky to be there when covid hit and no one was allowed on the islands unless you had a registered address there. Was the best time. No tourists, no camping wagons and social distancing. We visit almost every year now but would never live there again. People up there are either a jaded full time Norwegians or temporary residents. Even the full timers that grew up there dont want to stay. Beautiful but damn boring.
Edit: i also know exactly where this is. There is a cult just down the road. Great piece on NRK about them.

I call foul… the ball is different. One has a red spot, the other does not. There are a number of other differences too, but I called out the trickiest one to see.
