    2. Could be a silviculturalist? Basically, you have the tree cutting, but there are various aspects to managing a forest. Choosing how to cut the trees (rows, clearcut, individuals), which to cut, how to regenerate (planted, seed tree), thinning, how to treat with pesticides and herbicides, prescribed burns, wildlife management, leaving or clearing debris, the primary use of the timber and maximizing profit for that use….

This is Canada. Forest engineer over there are special. Their engineering ring is made of wood. They aren’t part of the Engineer Professional Order, they have their own.

Basically it’s forest management. Forestry is a resource and people exploit forests like people farm land. For paper, cardboard, toilet paper, lumber, etc.

    4. I graduated with my degree in engineering and when I got into the workforce I was surprised to see how many roles they just tack on engineering to make it sound better.

Sales engineer, customer service engineer, civil engineer. All unnecessary

Does this dude just not know what “engineering” means?

The jokes are funny if you don’t know the meaning of this relatively straightforward word.
