So what was everyone else in the photo doing during those 5 years of occupation? Probably working hard to keep the lights on for the Germans.

The percentage of the Dutch population who were members of the Nazi party (NSB) was 10 times higher than the percentage of the Nazi in Denmark (DNSAP).
By far the largest percentage of Jewish population in Netherlands lost their lives (almost 90% versus Western Europe average of 20%).

What happened to them after that? I imagine they left the cities, maybe went to Germany or something. And they never came back, right?
