Gorgeous double-piece women’s silk dress, Ottoman-era Jerusalem, 1850 AD [607×788]

Of exquisite workmanship, the dress is believed to have been created in Syria, where dresses of this style are known to have been created. It was the property of the wife of a short-lived, obscure Ottoman governor of Jerusalem.
