      they can consume up to 80% of their own body weight in a single feeding and use the sun to speed up the digestion of bones, hooves, and hide; If prey escapes the initial attack, the dragon will calmly follow it for miles using its keen sense of smell to track the dying victim until the venom takes effect;

      despite poor hearing and vision, they use their forked tongues to taste 👅 the air, detecting carrion up to 6 miles (around 10km) away;

      they are ambush predators capable of short and explosive sprints up to 13 mph.

      This video must be outdated, it’s proven that comodo dragons are not venomous, thy have no venom on their saliva and nor they have more bacteria than a human on their mouth.

      Its not venom.. the buffalo died from infection days later.. their saliva is full of bacteria of all sorts

    4. Yall see that this is AI right? I’m not saying what it’s portraying isn’t true, but this isn’t real footage. Watch when the Komodo dragon bites one of the legs and the legs briefly shrinks and bends.
      Edit: watch the horses leg get bit

    5. When the Minnesota Zoo opened they had an indoor tropical area. They kept “losing” flamingos. They finally figured out the flamingos were going into the Komodo dragon area and were eaten. True.

    6. They thought it was just nasty mouth bacteria until fairly recently as I understand it but now think it is a tailor endo toxin they naturally make.
