    1. Is this normal or really bad right now? I’ve dealt with 320 due to a wildfire and it was terrible. Can’t imagine this

    2. That’s the Air Quality Index

I didn’t know what AQI stood for but assumed it had something to do with the air.

The scale only goes to 500 and anything over 300 is considered hazardous

Would You Rather: Delhi Edition. Be on the ground in the cancer fog, or be 20 stories up in a crumbling Indian tower likely built with questionable standards.

    4. That is some Blade Runner level shit, but not surprising. When I flew into Hyderabad some years ago, we landed at about 10 PM local, and the lights of the city were not visible below at all while the airport lights finally became more defined than just a dull glow (which wasn’t even visible for most of the descent) less than 30 seconds before touchdown. Air quality in India’s cities is unbelievably bad much of the time.

    5. I remember seeing a delegation of Indian government officials respond to their criticism of lacking any initiatives to address climate change and they basically said “The West got rich off dirty fuel so they cant tell us that we aren’t able to now”.

So this tracks… What a filthy joint.

Okay so I know when you go outside you probably wear some sort of mask or something, but how do you make sure the air in your home is clean(er)? Air filters? Just keep the windows shut? Surely they’re not breathing this shit in 24/7…right?
