Okay, let me give a counter-example: Margaret Thatcher. Politically speaking, you could say I’m not a fan. But I can see why people voted for her. She was smart, articulate, could make fools out of her opponents, gave the impression that she was acting in her country’s best interests.
But this guy? A total idiot, an obvious narcissist, a probable child molester, for god’s sake. He is all of humanity’s worst traits rolled into one: the worst boss you ever had, the client who never paid, your asshole neighbour, your racist uncle, your abusive ex, your impossible in-laws.
