The recent shooter was tackled by an unarmed man. If you feel you need or must carry everywhere something is wrong with you.

I love the poor counter of, “well if guns are illegal in those countries, how did they get a gun?”. Multiple mass shootings in the US on the monthly versus one mass shooting in decades.

USA! USA! USA!

Admittedly this statistic isn’t adjusted by total population, but even then the US is heavily in the lead.
They “only” got 2.5x the people than Japan, 4x than Germany, 5x than France, Italy or the UK, 6x than South Korea and still only 12x than Australia, so even Australias mass shootings would equivalate to just about 24 compared to the almost 400 the US have.
So the result and conclusion are still the same.

The guy who took a gun away from one of the shooters was unarmed. It wasn’t a gun that fought back, it was courage. A quality sorely lacking in the US.

If you can’t feel safe without carrying a lethal weapon then one or more of the following apply:
1. Your law and order doesn’t work.
2. Your society has collapsed.
3. You’re paranoid and potentially dangerous.

Germany: 30th september: A man killed his ex-partner, her two children, and himself in an apartment.
11th april: A police officer killed his wife, two children, and himself with his service weapon.
26ths february: Several shots were fired at the regional court of Bielefeld during the Besar Nimani murder trial. Some of the gunfire was directed from a passing car. At least four people were injured, including the father and brother of the defendant. Two suspects were arrested at the scene. Nimani’s sister was held on suspicion of attempted murder.
America:
29th november: A shooting during a birthday party being held at a banquet hall near Stockton killed four people, three of whom were children, and injured thirteen others. No arrests have been made.
october 11th: Following a homecoming high school football game, a shooting during a gathering in downtown Leland killed seven people and injured 18 others. Seven others also suffered non-gunshot injuries.
1st januray: Two people were killed and five others were injured when a shooting broke out at a New Year’s Eve party.
Just a selection… could also find a man doing the murder suicide on his family of five…
Funnily enough, a lot of american massshoothings have their own wiki articles
