    1. Wow that’s a great example! Best I’ve seen.

      There’s some speculation that the A references Alexander Zabinas (the Seleucid king during whose reign this set was minted), since he had killed Demetrios Nikator, against whom the Hasmoneans were fighting, and Judea was still a client kingdom of Syria.
