    1. There’s an unproven conspiracy that she was actually her daughter, Yvonne, who assumed her mother’s identity in 1934 and was therefore 99 when she passed away. Unlikely though since Yvonne had a child at the time and there doesn’t seem to be any good reason why she would want to pull off such a con.

    2. It’s crazy to think she was alive when it took days to get from the east to the west coast and she got to see that time get cut down to hours.

    3. Apparently she met Van Gogh. He would frequent a brothel near where she lived. She said he was rude and smelled bad.

Yeah it looked like she was ready to go in the final 3 or 4 photos. That’s a lot of life lived.

    5. Imagine getting to live through your 20’s for all over again. Probably not as much partying the second time though.

    6. For some reason all the people who live to 100+ live in countries that had poor record keeping of birth records 100 years ago, but now have generous pensions

Did she *want* to live that long? Ffs I’m furious about possibly having to be here for another 10 years.

    8. how did she finally die? I’m just wondering because my grandma is currently 97 and I’d like her to avoid whatever it was that this sweet lady died from and be able to live longer

    9. Of the first five posts on my feed, this woman just showed up on two of them, in different “interesting” subs

She looked ready to go in that last photo. Life can be exhausting can you imagine being 122 that would be just so tiring but good for her..

Fun fact… she would not have been able to obtain a form G325-R as a visitor to the USA. This form is required to be completed within 30 days if the border agent doesn’t file a form I94. The government website requires you to enter your parents birthdates but won’t accept birth dates prior to 1900. We found that out when I was helping my father-in-law (age 84) fill out his form. His father’s birthdate was 1897. Another fun fact for any Canadians filling in this form… the chat bot on the site suggests form G325-A which is absolutely the wrong form and will probably summon ICE agents to kick in your door.
