Honestly, I think that’s just Reddit’s reaction.

There’s literally nothing wrong with being autistic, and it’s weird you think there is somehow.

I mean, autism is a spectrum so there’s a good chance they’re right…

I think the problem is in how ‘Autism’ was created and defined in itself.
In loose terms it was created as a way to define a person with a disorder who is ‘different from the norm’, and in this case ‘norm’ essentially means ‘person who blindly grinds their life away at work and then comes home and watches the news/weather as a hobby.’ or the ‘ideal American worker.’
ADHD is sort of on the same boat. I would say I have ADHD, but I think the real origin of ADHD is ‘person who has interests other than what they are being forced to sit through’ aka schooling through classes they didn’t want, or being forced to live that ‘American Dream.’
Not trying to drop a hot take here or anything either, just simply thinking about where and who these terms came from. They come from a very similar source of ‘not blending in with the cattle we want to work for us.’

Nobody ever answered me by the way.
If an average person misunderstands 2 times a day and an autistic person does 4. Is everyone autistic 2 times a day, or is the autistic only autistic 2 times a day.
There is some bullshit I want to root out that is contingent upon the response.
