The forearms are adorned with snake-like bracelets made of gold, a recurring model in the repertoire of goldsmiths in the Hellenistic period, attesting to the growing use of precious metals. This product of artistic metalworking in Taranto clearly had a symbolic meaning in the funerary sphere which has yet to be determined.
