Years later, knowing how little it mattered, I’m kinda upset with my mom for threatening to bring me back inside the school when I slid on that little bit of ice on the way to the car. What she should have done was say “I’m taking you home because you slipped and fell on the back of your head and went blind for a minute, why the hell are you touching ice right now????”
