    1. “Crazy quilt made up of silk and velvet patches with attached taxidermy chipmunks and birds. This quilt was made by Carrie S. Carson (later Mrs. David McWilliams). It was donated as a raffle prize that raised $500 for the Mullanphy Hospital in November 1884. The winner of the quilt, said to be a nun who worked at the hospital, returned the quilt to Ms. Carson, who then gave it to her brother Dr. Norman Bruce Carson as a wedding gift in 1888.” [Source.](https://mohistory.org/collections/item/1944-033-0004)
