Hey all! Sorry for no post yesterday, but I had some personal obligations to do!
Before giving the rundown, I want to say thanks for all the support on the last post! Now, this week, we find William still grinding away at his classes, get some very exciting news from his professors, recount some of his dreams (involving Jan of course!), and much more!

Got letter from [Jim Bartlett](https://imgur.com/a/vrsurTC) yesterday. He didn’t have much to say. Is making a C- in Calculus. Is going home Spring from the 15th to the 22nd. If so, I’ll miss him. I typed a letter to him 1st period. German review was easy since I knew the material. It took me, however, 35 minutes straight. I checked over it for 5 minutes and left.
Went to see [Dr. Pete](https://imgur.com/a/IjwAQu0) about offer Va. and to find how soon I should snap it up. Then, the thing [Fulch](https://imgur.com/a/NNnpXws) had spoken of came to light *[Ooo…]*. Dr. Pete isn’t supposed to have told me. Remember when I signed up with [Dr. Vowles](https://imgur.com/a/knaYcWX) as a possible future teacher? **Well, my name and 2 others have been submitted to the General Education Board of the South along with names from 60 other schools.** 30 fellowships will be given; these offer about $1100 with traveling expenses paid, and no work, and choice of **any** school you choose *[Wow!]*.
I have been recommended by 3 departments, Physics, Math, and German. I am only one recommended by 3 departments and am on top of list from Davidson *[WOW!]*. So, Dr. Pete advised me to write VA a diplomatic letter telling them that there was the possibility of another offer and that I’d let them know my final decision at the earliest possible moment *[Smart!]*.
I could go to M.I.T. on this new thing if it comes through and get my Master’s in 1 year. I’ll bet Fulch would still want me to go to Va. Maybe not, though, he’s a good egg *[lol!]*. I’ll not know until maybe the 15th, but Dr. Pete said he’d push it. E*[lectronics]* review next Thursday. Are going to skip over to circuits soon. Ray! *[William’s version of Hooray!]*.
Played ping-pong at Y. Wrote letter to Va and showed it to Dr. Pete. It was all right. Talked to Dr. Pete until 5:45. Walked uptown and got some envelopes. Mailed Va letter. Played more ping-pong. [Lan Pan](https://imgur.com/a/PAGgBKf) is good. Visited 403 E. [Pete](https://imgur.com/a/loaGzxB) is on debating trip and [Ed ](https://imgur.com/a/dqJft0O)with Glee Club in Florida. Showered. To bed at 11:05.
*[On Side]* Probably told Pat more than I should have about graduate offer. I must learn to just plain old clam up!! *[lol!]*
